Experienced State Licensed Educators
At The Haddis Academy, we pride ourselves on having highly qualified and licensed educators with extensive experience. The founder, Mahlet Haddis, is a Bilingual, Licensed Teacher of 5 years with 28 years of tutoring experience, ensuring your child receives the best guidance and learning experience possible.
Ms. Haddis holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and a Masters in Teaching as she is licensed to teach in D.C., Maryland and Virginia. She is an AI Educator-certified professional, an Early Childhood Specialist, and is currently in her final year of post-grauate study pursuing her doctoral degree in Education.

My experience as a tutor began with educating children of high-profile elites. After working in public schools as a teacher and observing the realities of the educational environment, I made the decision to offer my expert educational services to the broader community.
As a mother, I understand the anxiety parents face when it comes to their child's success in school. I know how important it is for parents to have a support system outside of the classroom--one that encourages their child's progress and addresses their individual needs. There are many gaps within the education system, and my goal is to help fill those gaps wherever I can.
As an educator, I firmly believe that every child is capable of achieving their full potential and goals--some simply require more support than others. That support is what I am here to provide, regardless of an individual's circumstances, therefore I chose to open my own independent school—one where I could give my community the highest-quality education my time, training, and degree could provide. After the initial assessment, an individualized curriculum and lesson plan will be developed based on the students gifts and talents. The Haddis Academy celebrates all learning differences and styles and accomodates and adapts as needed.
We use many tools and methods to teach and engage our students as well as being dedicated to incorporating AI technology into our daily curriculum to equip students for a rapidly evolving future.
Homeschool students will engage in a structured lesson plan that incoroporates creative arts, physical education and life skills. At The Haddis Academy, we are committed to developing the whole child,and providing a strong foundation for their future.
**All tutoring sessions, both in person and online, will be recorded on zoom for everyones convenience and educational reference.
